The smallest room discovery tour
The smallest room; an old-fashioned expression to refer to something we use every day: the toilet. People’s toilet can be quite telling about the place where they live, their culture and their social position. Students who have answered the questions correctly will eventually arrive at the museum’s most special ‘smallest room’.
Goal
In this discovery tour, students become acquainted with daily life in the Zuiderzee area. They pass by the harbour, the sailmaker, the school from 1930, the pharmacy with its ‘gaper’ figureheads, along canals and across bridges. Guided by the ground plan, they will make a criss-cross tour of the entire outdoor museum premises!
